Considering we all adults are subject to Adults in Scouting Policy, the World Scout Bureau consider important that every Adult in Scouting known about the Policy and its components for a good understanding and application.

The purpose of this document is to ensure that the governing bodies of NSOs rec-ognize the importance and desirability of carrying out appropriate risk management in their organizations and, in addition, that they are aware of their duties and responsibilities in this area.

In accordance with the WOSM Constitution, all NSOs members have a duty to operate under the mandate of their governing body, consisting of volunteers elected to their National Assembly, whose decisions are to be implemented by their national executive team, known as the WMO governance model.

Scouts for SDGs in the Community outlines the updated Better World Framework as a portfolio of world initiatives categorized in four thematic areas of education. The thematic areas focus on global issues and trends affecting young people and diverse communities for the next decade.

As an external representative, a spokesperson, a volunteer, or a professional working at national or international levels of Scouting, we could be called upon to represent the Movement in an article, interview, or speech at any time.

This document is prepared in an effort by WOSM to support National Scout Organizations (NSOs) in their response to emergencies and disasters. Instead of focusing entirely on the response, the full spectrum of the ‘disaster lifecycle’ is of importance.
