Growth best practice: União dos Escoteiros do Brasil
In the past decades in Brazil, we have done tremendous efforts to review our programmes and deliver an education more adapted to the youth needs. The first big change was to adapt the system of progression which previously had a very traditional approach mostly requiring young people to show their ability to do practical tasks. With our new approach, we moved from a progression scheme where practical and technical things (how to use the knife, how to do knots) were valued to scheme focusing on youth competences.
