What can be found in this document?
In this document, we explore the many roots and manifestations of dialogue, always with the aim of instilling an attitude of peace and of respect towards others in the hearts of all young people. This document provides guidance to NSOs and NSAs on how to instil dialogue in our hearts and minds as a value, rather than just a skill. It builds a foundation for dialogue in our Movement and strengthens the Scouting value system. Through this document, we offer a clear path to any young person wanting to become what we call, a dialogical Scout. This is one of the ways to create a better world, and to achieve global peace.

How to use this guide?
This Book of Knowledge is one of the Dialogue for Peace programme’s set of documents. Its purpose is to provide basic knowledge of the concepts, skills and competences required for the dialogue and peacebuilding education of young people. It also serves as an educational tool for the explicit integration of the value and practice of dialogue in the Youth Programme offered at the national level.

This Building Bridges-Guide for Dialogue ambassadors is your main source of information and reference document for the concepts you learned in the Dialogue for Peace programme.
Use this document and the Dialogue Badge Booklet when implementing the elements of dialogue at the local level in ful lment of the requirements of the dialogue badge.
Use this document and the Dialogue Facilitators and Trainers Manual when facilitating a dialogue process. When coordinating the execution of a learning experience to develop capacities related to dialogue with a Dialogue for Peace training courses/workshops at any level (taken from the guidelines themself).

Neste documento exploramos as múltiplas raízes e manifestações do diálogo, sempre com o objetivo de incutir no coração de todos os jovens uma atitude de paz e de respeito pelo próximo. Este documento fornece orientação aos NSOs e NSAs sobre como incutir o diálogo em nossos corações e mentes como um valor, em vez de apenas uma habilidade. Ele constrói uma base para o diálogo em nosso Movimento e fortalece o sistema de valores do Escotismo.
