The Xth European Scout Conference met at Lancaster, United Kingdom, at the invitation of the Scout Association of the United Kingdom, within the framework of the Joint and Guide Conference, 6-12 July 1980. The Conference gathered delegates from the 24 countries of the Region. The main aim of the Conference was to examine how the Scout Movement could provide more effectively for the needs of the adolescents in European society . 

Dans le cadre de la Conference Conjointe des Scouts et des Guides qui s'est tenue a Lancaster (Angleterre) du 6 au 12 juillet 1980 et sur l'invitation de l'Association Scoute du Royaume-Uni, s'est réunie la l0ème Conference Européenne Scoute. Elle a rassemble des délégués des 24 pays de la Region. Le but principal de la Conference était d'examiner de quelle manière le Mouvement Scout peut répondre plus efficacement aux besoins des adolescents de la société européenne.
